Fabrizio Sebastiani: Professional History

I received a "Laurea" degree in Computer Science "summa cum laude" in April 1986 from the Department of Computer Science of the University of Pisa. My thesis work was in computational linguistics, and dealt with issues in the semantic interpretation of technical language.

Since May 1986 to March 1988 I have been a research scientist at the Department of Linguistics of the University of Pisa, where I have worked in the Natural Language Processing research group.

From April 1988 to December 2001 I have been a researcher, and since January 2002 to date a senior researcher, at the Istituto di Scienza e Tecnologie dell'Informazione "Alessandro Faedo" (formerly Istituto di Elaborazione dell'Informazione), an institute of the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR).
